AMU MBBS BDS Application Form 2017
AMU MBBS BDS is a national level entrance test conducted by Aligarh Muslim University every year. This test is conducted for giving admission to the deserving candidates for various courses in the field of medical like MBBS and BDS. The exam will be conducted at two levels i.e. Tier I(Preliminary) and Tier II(Main).
Candidates, qualified in preliminary exam, will be eligible for next level i.e. Main Exam. Those candidates will be selected for admission, who will secure at least 50% marks in the Main Exam. Application form for AMU MBBS BDS 2017 will be released in the month of January 2017 and candidates can apply till end of February 2017.
The exam for Tier I will be organized in the month of April 2017 and for Tier II will be organized in the month of June 2017. The terms and conditions necessary to be fulfilled by candidates for being eligible for AMU MBBS BDS Entrance Exam 2017 are given below:
- Candidate must be a citizen of an India.
- Candidates must have passed 12th class from recognized board. Candidates appearing in 12th class are also eligible to apply.
- Candidate must secure at least 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English subjects.
- Candidates must have crossed the age of 17 years.
- Starting date to apply online: January 2017
- The last date to submit application form online : February 2017
- The last date to submit application form by registered post : February 2017
- Availability of Admit Card : 10 to 15 days before exam date
- Date of Preliminary Exam : April 2017
- Result declaration date for Pre Exam : April/May 2017
- Date of Examination for Main Exam : June 2017
- Result declaration date for Main Exam : June 2017
- Counselling Process : July 2017
Application fee is Rs. 1000/- for Both MBBS and BDS Course. If candidate want to apply for both the courses, he/she need not to buy extra application form for this. He/She can fill one application form for both the courses but he/she has to specify the priority of course for admission. Application fee can be paid either by online mode i.e. by using Debit Card/Credit Card or by using offline mode i.e. DD drawn in favor of “Finance Officer, AMU Aligarh”, payable at Aligarh.
How to Apply for AMU MBBS BDS 2017
Candidates can fill the application form by online mode and can also download the application form from the official website of the university i.e. www.amu.ac.in. In the case of online mode, After filling the online application form, candidates will make payment of application fee by online mode. Candidates will also upload the photo, signature and thumb impression etc. on the online application form. After filling the form completely and paying the fee, Click Submit and take the printout of it for future use. Candidates will submit the print copy of application form to the following address by post.
Candidates can also download the application form from the official website of the university. After filling the application form and paying the application form by DD, Candidates will send the application form along with DD by registered post or speed post to the following mentioned address:

The exam will be conducted at two levels i.e. Preliminary and Main Exam. There will be combined entrance test for MBBS and BDS. Exam paper will consist of objective type MCQs. Total 200 MCQs will be asked and 180 minutes will be provided to attempt the exam. Questions will be asked from physics (50 questions), chemistry (50 questions) and biology (100 questions). Candidates, qualified in preliminary exam, will be eligible for Main Exam. To qualify in the Main Exam, candidates should secure at least 50% marks.
Qualified candidates will be called for counseling process to be held in the month of July 2017. The counseling will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates will be selected for counseling on the basis of rank. The counseling will be held at the university campus of AMU, Aligarh. In counseling, seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of rank, choice, of course, choice of college and availability of seats.
